How Active247 handles data. Last updated 3 September 2026.
The short version. Active247 is a public status board. You do not sign in, you do not give us anything, and we do not ask. Public pages set no cookie and load no analytics, no advertising trackers and no third party scripts or fonts. The only records the site keeps are the results of our own checks against public Nigerian addresses. The server that runs this site is in Istanbul, Türkiye. The company that runs it is Nigerian.
Who runs Active247
Ranked Technologies Limited, RC 9522220, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria, is the data controller. The company is registered with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. We have not appointed a data protection officer yet, so privacy questions go to support@ranked.ng and are answered by the company directly.
What we collect from you
Nothing that identifies you. There is no public account, no sign up, no newsletter, no contact form and no comment box on this site. The public pages send no cookie to your browser. We checked the actual responses before publishing this page.
If you use the theme switch or the timezone switch in the toolbar, your choice is written to your own browser storage and stays there. It is never sent to us.
The one cookie this site can set is a sign in cookie named kener-user, and only when an administrator of ours signs in to the admin screens. One administrator account exists. There is no public registration.
Third parties on the page
None load. The site pulls its stylesheet, its script and its logo from this server and nowhere else. There are no web fonts from an outside service, no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no advertising tags. Kener, the software this board runs on, can be wired to Google Analytics, Amplitude and similar services. None of them is configured here, which is why the script the page requests at /capture.js comes back empty.
A few links point away from the site: the Kener project on GitHub in the footer of every page, and a WhatsApp share link on the board pages. They are links and nothing else. Nothing loads from those places unless you click one.
What the server sees
Our application log records errors only, with the request method and the path. It does not record IP addresses. We read the running container's log before publishing this page and there was not a single address in it.
Cloudflare sits in front of this site as a network provider and ends the TLS connection, so your request reaches us across Cloudflare's global network. Like any network provider, Cloudflare handles the details of the connection, including your IP address. That happens outside our application and it is part of reaching any site behind Cloudflare.
What the site stores, and for how long
It stores the results of our own checks. For each check: which service was checked, the time, whether it was Working, Slow or Down, the response time in milliseconds, and the error text when a check fails. The pages we fetch are not stored, so no content and no customer data from the services we watch ever reaches our database. The app is set to keep check results for 90 days and to delete what is older.
Besides that it stores the site's own settings and the single administrator account, which is a name, an email address and a password hash.
Where the data is, and the transfer out of Nigeria
The whole site runs on a Mac Studio in Istanbul, Türkiye, reached through Cloudflare. So while Ranked Technologies Limited is a Nigerian company, the storage and the processing happen in Türkiye. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 that is a cross border transfer, and you are told here, before you use the site, rather than after.
The machine is ours and we are the only people with access to it. There is no off machine backup of this site's data yet. We would rather write that down than claim a backup we do not have.
Who we share with
Nobody. We do not sell personal data. We do not pass it to advertisers, data brokers or anyone else. If a court or a regulator with authority over us made a lawful demand, we would follow the law.
This site cannot send email. No mail relay is configured for it, so there are no confirmation messages, no password reset messages and no alerts by email. The subscription feature that ships with the software is switched off. To reach us, write to support@ranked.ng and we will reply from that mailbox.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Write to support@ranked.ng and we will answer within 30 days. For a visitor to this site there is usually little to answer, because we hold nothing about you.
If your organisation is on the board
Active247 checks public websites and portals from the outside. We are not affiliated with any bank, fintech, telco, power company or government body listed on it. Every reading is our own observation from Istanbul and is not a statement about the organisation itself.
If you speak for an organisation on the board and you want the entry corrected or removed, write to support@ranked.ng. We will act within 30 days, and we will stop checking your address if you ask us to.
Changes to this page
If this notice changes we will rewrite this page and change the date at the top. There is no mailing list to notify anyone, so the date is the record.
